Mildura Easter Powersports Weekend

Show 'n Shine | Drag Races | Speedway | Boat Races

Petrolheads and motorsport fans... Easter in Mildura is a date you absolutely need to mark in your calendar. The weekend kicks off with the Show 'n Shine on Friday morning, and culminates with 1000hp jet boats on the Murray river. In between, there are drag races, speedway, along with other complimentary events around the region.

Here's a rundown on the main events held over Easter weekend 2022. For those of you that weren't there, you missed a fantastic festival of speed... but there's always next year! Make sure you mark it in your calendar, you won't be disappointed.

Show 'n Shine: Friday 9am to 1pm

The weekend started with the Show 'n Shine held in Langtree ave, 9am to 1pm. After missing the last year due to Covid, the weekend came back with a vengance... there must have been well over 10,000 people checking out the vehicles when I arrived at around 11am.

Drag cars, classic motorcycles, hot rods, powerboats... you name it, then it was probably on display. One of my all time favourite classic bikes is the Honda CB750, I have wanted one of those since I first saw one. And to my delight there was not just one but several of these on display. I think this one pictured is the K model rather than the later (and slightly more powerful) F. Judging by the chrome rear mudguard and spoked wheels.

My dream classic bike. Isn't she a beauty? Just wish I could have heard her running.
